Serenades

Last night, the new members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon came and serenaded us at AXO.  They started off by just standing in the front of our chapter room singing and then they all got down on one knee and personally serenaded each one of the sisters present.

Sister of the Week

Ashley Rucki did an amazing job on initiation. She worked countless hours and made sure everything was perfect!

Baskets

After the bigs got their paddles, it was time to give the littles their baskets.  They all lied down on the floor with their eyes covered, waiting for their baskets.  We counted to three and then they all opened their eyes to find an amazing basket in front of them.

Paddles

After enjoying our initiation and the brunch that followed, the chapter headed up to the chapter room to see the paddles.  Each of the newest members hid their paddles and then revealed  it to the entire chapter and their big one at a time.  The paddles all came out so well and all of the bigs were so happy to receive them.  After the paddles were given to the bigs, the newest members presented a craft that they made for each senior.

Initiation Brunch

Today, we were so happy to initiate 12 of our new members into Alpha Chi Omega.  After initiation, we came back to a brunch prepared by our VP Fraternal Relations, Paige Fagan.  The brothers of Sigma Alpha Epsilon served the lifetime members and the 12 newest lifetime members.  Everyone spent time with their families and waited for the paddle and basket exchange later in the day.

Relay for Life/ New Member Sleepover

This weekend, each sister of Alpha Chi Omega spent two hours walking at Relay for Life.  It is a program that supports the American Cancer Society, so we made informational posters to hang up at the track where Relay was taking place.

Our New Members also had their sleepover tonight.  The night started off with the Dream Cake Ceremony.  They then each received their plate awards.

The best part of the New Member sleepover (in my opinion) is when each new member tapes a piece of paper to their back. They then walk around the room writing nice things on each others backs.  It is such a heartwarming experience to be a part of.
